Breaking: Maryland Heights, Bridgeton Residents Grow Worried about West Lake Landfill »
Welcome back, Patch Blogger!

Bidding Farewell

Rob McLean steps down as Maryland Heights Patch Local Editor.

I came to Patch fresh out of graduate school in 2010. Former Regional Editor Holly Edgell plucked me from Lincoln, NE to launch and then manage Maryland Heights Patch. The task was daunting: I had never lived in the St. Louis area before and was unaware of Westport Plaza or Creve Coeur Park.

But I quickly learned the ins-and-outs of Maryland Heights, and appreciated what the community meant to its residents.

After almost two years as Maryland Heights Patch’s Local Editor, I’ve decided to step down.

Exploring new opportunities and adventures has always appealed to me as a journalist. My time with Patch has been an interesting adventure with many rewards.

Thank you, Maryland Heights, for welcoming me into your community. I’ve learned a lot from this experience and will appreciate my days as a Patch Local Editor as I continue my journalism career.

All the best,

-Rob McLean
