County Police: Third Attack May Be Linked to Rapes Near Maryland Heights

St. Louis County Police believe a third attack may be related to two rapes already linked to the same offender in the Creve Coeur and Maryland Heights area.

The St. Louis County and Maryland Heights police departments hosted a town hall meeting Tuesday night at Parkway North High School to help inform residents about new developments. About 200 people attended the meeting, which included a free self-defense class led by volunteers from Midwest Krav Magra.

Maryland Heights Man Injured in Three-Car Accident on I-70 Involving Semi

A 50-year-old Maryland Heights man was injured in a three-car accident Monday morning.

Robin Thomas was driving eastbound on Interstate 70 when he ran into a semi-truck while changing lanes. The semi-truck then slammed into another car, which then ran into the interstate's guardrail.

Thomas was taken to DePaul Hospital by ambulance. A 69-year old woman was also injured in the accident.

Maryland Heights Fugitive Arrested on Manchester

A 45-year-old man from Maryland Heights was arrested Monday as a fugitive of the Maryland Heights Police Department. He was arrested for leaving the scene of an accident after a suspicious person check in the 10000 block of Manchester Road. The arrest was made Sept. 23 at 10 p.m.

DNA Match Helps Police Find Burglary Suspect

A Bridgeton man faces a burglary charge after police were able to match him with blood left on a broken window in a home on Fee Fee Road.

Nicholas Phillips, 27, of the 4100 block of Stonehart Drive, was charged Friday with second-degree burglary.

Bridgeton Police said Phillips broke into a home in the 3400 block of Fee Fee Road between 9:20 a.m. and 12:23 p.m. June 1. They said a window was shattered to enter the home. DNA extracted from the blood sample on the window matched Phillips’ DNA, according to court records.
