The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Missouri Tuesday announced that Richard Ambler, of Florissant, was sentenced to more than 12 years in federal prison for his role in transporting and receiving child pornography.

Two-Year DEA Investigation Stings 30 Residents in Meth Ring
A two-year U.S. Drug Enforcement Agencyinvestigation brought 62 charges against 30 people involved in producing methamphetamine in North and Northwest St. Louis County.
Charges were filed in St. Louis County Circuit Court last week against people in a web-like network of at least 26 people. Those involved in the meth ring include residents of Maryland Heights, Bridgeton, St. Charles, St. Ann, Overland, Breckenridge Hills, Woodson Terrace, St. John, Bel Ridge and unincorporated St. Louis County.

Woman Made Meth in Home, Endangering Her Children, Police Say
A woman faces drug and child endangerment charges after Bridgeton Police said she made methamphetamine at her home in Bridgeton.
Janice L. Williams, 39, now of the 3900 block of Jane in St. Ann, was charged Dec. 5 with first-degree trafficking in drugs, first-degree child endangerment, manufacturing meth, possessing chemicals with the intent to make a controlled substance and possession of drug-related items.
She was arrested Friday on the charges.

Police: Man Pushed Girlfriend Down Stairs
A man faces a criminal charge after police said he pushed his girlfriend down a flight of stairs.
John Manley, 36, of the 2700 block of Mars Lane in Maryland Heights, was charged Wednesday with second-degree domestic assault.
Maryland Heights Police said the woman broke her arm after being pushed and required emergency surgery.

Updated: Maryland Heights Apartment Complex Catches Fire
Emergency crews, as well as volunteers with the American Red Cross, were on the scene of a multi-unit apartment fire in Maryland Heights Monday afternoon around 2:30 p.m.
Maryland Heights Fire Protection Captain Robert Daus Jr. said when emergency crews arrived, firefighters received reports of people jumping from the balconies of their apartments to escape the blaze.
Six families were displaced because of the blaze. No one was reported injured.

Maryland Heights Man Charged with Armed Robbery
Bridgeton Police say a Maryland Heights man and others acting with him forced a man at gunpoint to hand over the items on July 6 in the 4200 block of Gardenview Lane in Bridgeton.
