The chase ended when the University City man turned towards an officer and pulled a weapon out of his waistband, and the Maryland Heights officer fired a shot.

Authorities tell Fox2 it started after a Maryland Heights police officer pulled over a car with one person in it for a traffic violation in the parking lot at the apartments at Bennington and Summerhouse.
