Football: Pattonville Drops Fourth Straight, Loses to Riverview

The loss was the fourth straight for the Pattonville Pirates, who are winless on the season.

The Pattonville High School football team lost 32-22 Friday to Riverview.

The loss was the fourth straight for the Pirates, who are winless on the season.

Riverview cashed in for two scores in the first quarter and led 13-0 after one frame. This season, Pattonville has been outscored 61-3 in the first quarter.

Not until a 35-yard field goal from Tyler Hach as time expired on the first half did the Pirates get on the scoreboard. At the end of the first half, Pattonville trailed Riverview 20-3.

After trading touchdown runs in the third quarter, Pattonville looked poised to make a comeback. Jake Stroker's 16-yard touchdown catch from quarterback Lamar Wilkes and another 1-yard scamper score from Wilkes cut the lead to 32-22.

But the Pirates never found paydirt after that and Riverview secured the win, its second on the season.
