Tablets and e-readers are among this holiday season’s hottest gifts and local libraries are bracing for a high demand in e-books.

Tablets such as the iPad, Kindle Fire and Nook have been popular items on everyone’s wish lists this holiday season.

E-gifts are also trending, says another report.

Not to be left behind, the the St. Louis County Library system is ready to help patrons learn how to check their favorite e-books from the comfort of their own homes.

St. Louis County libraries use OverDrive, a leading full-service digital distributor of eBooks, audiobooks, and other digital content, to rent out emedia. 

The company hosts more than 1 million premium digital titles from more than 1,000 publishers.
