Hundreds Turn Out for Geekway

The 2012 Geekway to the West board game convention at Westport Plaza's Sheraton got underway this weekend, and 350 attendees had come out by Saturday morning.
Chris Darden and Jay Moore—two of the event's co-organizers—said people from accross the country had come out to Maryland Heights for the convention. Attendees from Florida, Texas, California and other states made it out this year, they said.
The convention had swarms of walk-up attendees. Co-organizer Todd Reed said about 14 walk-ins had arrived Saturday morning, while 25 walk-ins came in on Friday.
