Is Chick-fil-A Coming to Maryland Heights?

Charter Development is in talks with the popular chicken restaurant for a Maryland Heights location, city staff confirm.

Popular chicken joint Chick-fil-A could be making an appearance in Maryland Heights. City officials have confirmed Charter Development is in talks with the fast food chain for the site at 2171 Westport Plaza Drive.

ZX Gas currently sits at the spot, according to a memorandum to city staff from Brian Rensing of Crawford, Bunte, Brammeier Traffic and Transportation Engineers.

A memorandum from city staff dated April 19 indicates the existing gas station would be replaced with a gas station-convenience store-fast food facility.

Developers have requested the area be rezoned to a Mixed Use District, according to a city staff memorandum.

Definitely! The existing free standing locations are not very close by, and this would be great to have one close to the Westport area.

Thanks for the note, Kristin! You're right, the other locations are a bit of a drive. I think the closest one is at the West County Mall (which is inside the mall). What's your favorite Chick-fil-A sandwich?

I suggested a Chick-fil-a last year. I hope something good comes to the closed Pasta House on Dorsett and the closed Taco Bell on McKelvey. Maybe a Culver's??? Gourmet Pizza, hand tossed, wood burning oven.....

We were just talking this week about how great it would be for Chik-Fil-A to take over the Pasta House spot. I wasn't aware that the Taco Bell closed, though...when did that happen?

Nice! I think the only thing I've had at Culvers were the fried cheese curds (because I'm a health food fanatic, naturally).

Really? I was there it was closed so I went to the other one on Dorsett & Millwell. Maybe they had an ownership or manager change at the McKelvey one.
