Maryland Heights, Bridgeton Men Win iPad and $500 in Contest

The two stopped in at the Vantage Credit Union’ Bridgeton branch grand opening and left with more than they came.

Maryland Heights resident Michael Geerlof, and Bridgeton resident Terrence Shofner won an iPad and $500, respectively from Vantage Credit Union’s new Bridgeton branch recently.

The pair were two of more than 500 people that stopped in to enter a random drawing and ended up being the winners.

Shofner said he stopped by the event with his grandkids simply to check out the new bank.

“It was packed,” he said. “We’ve got a basement project we’re working on, the gift card will come in handy.”

Geerlof said he didn't expect to win.

“What a great surprise,” he said. “My mom stopped in that day and entered my name into the grand prize drawing.”

Geerlof won an Apple iPad and said he runs his own business, Way Cool Balloons, in which the device will come in handy.
