Maryland Heights Man Charged in Robbery
Man punched liquor store clerk who tried to stop shoplifting attempt, police said.
A Maryland Heights man was charged Thursday with second-degree robbery after taking a bottle of alcohol from a local store.
Maryland Heights Police said in a report that Larry Robinson, 35, of the 2200 block of Palestra Drive, had a juvenile conceal a liquor bottle in his clothes inside Discount Liquors, 12533 Bennington Place. When a store clerk tried to stop him, Robinson punched the clerk and left.
Bond was set at $30,000, cash only.
