Pattonville High Debuts New Stadium

Crowds of locals came out to help Pattonville High School celebrate its new stadium.

Pattonville High School held a ribbon cutting ceremony Friday to introduce the community to its new football stadium.

The stadium is situated between the high school's main building and Grace Church. Previously Pattonville demolished its old stadium in order to build the new facility.

Michael Fulton, superintendent for Pattonville School District, told the crowd the event was to open the stadium—but also to celebrate community. He said community members care about one another, and also care about quality education for their children.

Fulton also thanked voters for passing 2010's $41 million no tax increase bond issue that let Pattonville School District pay for the stadium.

Mayors from Maryland Heights, Bridgeton and St. Ann were on hand to launch the stadium, as were members of Pattonville School District.
