Could you find out what time of day it was, what the weather conditions were, if there was much traffic at the time? This information helps people understand when might be the circumstances to be particularly cautious. Also, is this kind of crime rare in this locality or any other information that might help people. Maryland Heights, and this particular location, is not a place we think of as dangerous.

That's Maryland Heights for you. Cops are too busy eating donuts and running radar on 270 to deal with all the illegal aliens running around here. I'm really close to moving my business and family OUT and I'm not the only one here with a business talking about doing the same thing.

Bob, I totally agree about the police activity you mention. I travel around quite a bit in MD Hts and Earth City Expressway is one favorite hang out along with the Page Avenue extension. On any given day you can be in Schnuck parking lot and never see a cop. As a matter of fact for all the Cop Cars that sit in the parking lot at city hall I wonder where are they working. Bottom line it's a no brainier to write traffic tickets plus it a great revenue source for the city and its traffic court all in the name of safety. Yes they could sit in Schnucks parking lot and arrest many Illegals but that too much paper work.
It great that we have the Patch to report the crime that goes on in MD Hgts. Keep up the good reporting.
