Police Say Man Assaulted, Stabbed Girlfriend With Scissors
Bridgeton Police said the man also threatened to kill the woman.
A man punched and stabbed his live-in girlfriend July 9 at their apartment in the 3500 block of Pennridge, Bridgeton Police said in a report.
Brandon Burton, 20, of the 1200 block of Glenmeade in Maryland Heights, was charged July 10 with two counts of second-degree domestic assault.
Police said Burton hit the victim in the body, face and stomach, put his hands around her neck, threw her in a bathtub, stabbed her in the leg with scissors and threatened to kill her.
The two were living together in Bridgeton at the time, according to the report. Court documents show Burton’s address in Maryland Heights.
Burton is being held in St. Louis County Jail in lieu of a $15,000 cash-only bond.
