'Pujols 5' is No More

Managers at the restaurant once known as "Pujols 5" have changed the signage to reflect the facility's new name: "St. Louis Sports Hall of Fame Bar and Grill."

Pujols 5, the restaurant named after former St. Louis Cardinal Albert Pujols, is having a change of identity. The restaurant announced Feb. 2 that it would now be called "St. Louis Sports Hall of Fame Bar and Grill."

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported that restaurant owners are collaborating with St. Louis Sports Hall of Fame owner Greg Marecek on the changes.

Pujols announced earlier this year that he would leave the Cardinals for the Los Angeles Angels.

We checked out the restaurant this morning to see the Hall of Fame's new signage. Most of the references to Pujols 5 are either down or covered by signs sporting the new logo.

The Post-Dispatch reports the Pujols Family Foundation, also located in Westport Plaza, owns the statue.
