Spencer Contracting to Complete Glenpark Drive Project
Spencer was one of ten companies to bid on the project and quoted the City of Maryland Heights the lowest dollar amount.
The Maryland Heights City Council voted to authorize Mayor Mike Moeller to enter into a contract with Spencer Contracting Company for the Glenpark Drive Sidewalk Project at Thursday’s meeting.
The ordinance will allow the mayor to enter into a contract for $162,213, with the city administrator and director of public works allowed to execute change orders not to exceed $16,000.
A memorandum from Director of Public Works Bryan Pearl indicates the city received ten bids, with Spencer Contracting quoting the lowest bid at $162,213.30.
Pearl said in the memorandum that this will be Spencer Contracting’s first completed project in Maryland Heights. The company provided references confirming it has “successfully completed projects for other public agencies,” according to Pearl.
