Staybridge Suites New Owner Recieves Liquor License

The hotel's new owner will take ownership on Aug. 27, and the city council has approved their liquor license.

The incoming owner for Staybridge Suites received approval for a 5 percent Beer/Wine by the Drink and Sunday Restaurant/Bar liquor license on Thursday.

The Maryland Heights City Council unanimously approved the liquor license request at its July 19 meeting.

A memorandum from the deputy city clerk indicates the hotel is currently owned by Intercontinental Hotel Group, which does business as Staybridge Suites. The new owner, Sonesta International Hotel Corporation hoped to acquire its own liquor license for the property.

Sonesta International will take ownership of the hotel on Aug. 27, the memorandum indicates.
