Theater-goers hoping to see "Food Fight: The Musical" at The Playhouse at Westport were stopped in their tracks after the theater canceled the show Oct. 17.

Fliers posted to the theater's front door said Florida-based producers ended all performances of the musical. The Playhouse tried to continue its performances, but without luck.

As the show's tickets were sold through Metrotix outlets, the theater had no contact information for ticket-holders. Management could not call or email them about the cancellation.

Multiple phone calls from Maryland Heights Patch seeking comment from the theater's staff went unanswered.
