Waffle House, the breakfast restaurant known best for its yellow sign, is looking to build a new location in Maryland Heights, according to city documents.

According to the Maryland Heights city planner's report, Waffle House is looking to build a new 1,600 square-foot restaurant on Old Dorsett Road, just east of Interstate 270. 

Now, the closest Waffle House locatin is in Bridgeton near the St. Charles Rock Road and I-270 intersection. Another location sits in St. Charles and St. John.

The restaurant's building permit application is now under review by city officials.
