Local plans to honor Mae Wheeler, the jazz icon who died last week in her Creve Coeur area home, are coming together.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports a Jazz Wake will be held on Friday at Randle and Sons Funeral Home, with a wake and funeral services scheduled for Great Grace Church, 3690 Pershall Rd. on Sunday.
The Post-Dispatch's Kevin Johnson also has information on a pair of concerts in Wheeler's honor.
