Pattonville will host a Pre-Candidate Forum for those interested in running for a seat on the Pattonville Board of Education. The event will be at 7 p.m. Nov. 15 at the Pattonville Learning Center, 11097 St. Charles Rock Road.

Pattonville Board President Bob Dillon and Superintendent Michael Fulton will discuss  topics related to serving on the Board of Education, including what a school board does, characteristics of an effective school board, board relationships and governance, expectations of board members, strategic planning, history of Pattonville board and bond issues, time commitments and state-required training.

Filing for on the Board of Education seats begins at 8 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 13 and ends at 5 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 17. Candidates may file for office from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Pattonville Learning Center.

Two three-year term seats are up for election on the April 3, 2012 ballot.
