Explore the universe, and discover The Pattonville School District Observatory, located at 195 Fee Fee Road in Maryland Heights. The Pattonville Observatory has a 10-inch Schmidt-Cassgrain telescope which can be used to view planets, stars, nebulae, galaxies and globular clusters. Nearly twice each month during the school year, Pattonville hosts public viewing nights open to district residents and non-residents. The observatory and planetarium director, Doug Azwell has been interested in astronomy since he was a young boy, and has been a serious amateur astronomer for several years. Doug has been the observatory instructor since 2004.

Private showings: A limited number of private showings can be set up through the Cathy Nordgaarden at 314-213-8001. Some groups may inquire a $75 fee.

Pattonville Heights Middle School sits across the street from Remington Traditional School and focuses its students with a "get connected" theme. Parents of Pattonville Heights students are very involved with the school. Like Pattonville High School, its mascot is a pirate.
