MHPD - a portrait of public service
November 11 - December 14
Maryland Heights Government Center
=======================================
Raised in Maryland Heights since she was 11, Sara Levin grew up watching the city evolve into the thriving community it is today. MHPD was inspired by Sara’s respect and admiration for the public servants who support the community on a daily basis. A compelling portrait of the Maryland Heights Police Department, this collection is a collaboration between the department’s staff and officers and the artist. Sara, who remains proudly based in the St. Louis area, is a professional documentary photographer known for her sports, editorial, lifestyle and photojournalism work. She has won numerous awards for her photography and is internationally published. Her book “The Last Round,” with champion athlete Randy Couture, was published this year in the US and Europe.
MHPD - a portrait of public service is part of a larger collection that will be on permanent display within the Maryland Heights Police Department; Sponsored by the Maryland Heights Police Officer’s Association on behalf of all employees of the Maryland Heights Police Department; past, present and future.

More About Maryland Heights Government Center
The city's Government Center, open since 2008, houses all the city departments except Parks and Recreation, which is based in the city's community center. The lobby is huge, and the front desk staff is helpful. The city council meets here on the first and third Thursday of every month.
