Information gathered by the Los Angeles Times shows the leaders of the Boy Scouts of America who were expelled between 1947 and 2005 on suspicion of sexual abuse.

Patch's searchable database allows you to search by cities in Missouri. We also put together a story with information about leaders on the list from the St. Louis area. Individual Patch sites in the St. Louis area have also highlighted specific cases related to their communities.

The so-called "perversion files" were released last week by order of the Oregon Supreme Court. They were used as evidence in a 2010 lawsuit against the Scouts in a molestation case that resulted in a jury awarding $20 million to a man molested by an assistant scoutmaster in the 1980s.

$20 Million award is way too much to 1 person. The other victims will have to sue him to get some of that money.
That is just a ridiculous amount. It is similar to the $ 50 million paid by Penn State University to NCAA when the victims have not been compensated. Why is it like this? Real victims have to fight in court to get their damages compensated but the NCAA & one lone victim get the lion's share. This is ridiculous.

P.S.
I am so happy that nothing like that happened me, my brother or anyone we know and no one,no leaders, in our cub scout dens or boy scout troops are listed as possible offenders. Remember, "innocent until proven guilty". I will let 12 unbiased jurors decide the facts, truths & fates.
