Mugs in the News: The Faces that Made This Week's Crime Headlines

The following mug shots were taken from various Patch crime reports between Aug. 11-17.

Information for Mugs in the News is provided by the  and St. Louis County law enforcement agencies. Charges are not evidence of guilt. They are a record of police actions taken on a given day, and persons charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court. If you or a family member are charged or cited and the case is subsequently adjudicated, we encourage you to notify the editor. We will verify and report the outcome.

What's the reason for posting these if the individuals have not yet been found guilty? At the very least, shouldn't the burden of removing these photos be on the publisher should the individual be found not guilty?

The Patch has news quotas tied into the editors reviews..... Lots of news .. good rating.... doesn't have to be valid news..

Mar Davenport is guilty as hell. He broke into my home and left his DNA here. Enough proof for me!

Salazar is a piece of ----!!!!!!!!! These people need to be sodomized even more than what they do to their children. In fact all of these so called people should be taken out & do the same to them! Jan is correct, he left DNA that's proof positive! Do these people get off with a slap on the hand?

I have the feeling we're going to see more and more of this the longer the economy takes to pick back up. People will steal to get what they think they need (the need vs. want definition problem we have in the US deserves it's own topic here), it's just the cold, hard truth. Luckily, most criminals are dumb enough to get caught, although their victims may never be the same, regardless.

I agree that the economy plays into the surge in certain crimes. But if you take any one of these people in the mug shots shown here, and look them up on the link below. You will see that most a repeat offenders.
