Update: Police Chase Suspect Charged With Assault

Jorge Wallace led police on a chase from Maryland Heights to University CIty just after midnight on Tuesday.

The man who led several police agencies on a chase from Maryland Heights late Monday night and into Tuesday has been charged with assault.

The chase ended in University City after midnight on Tuesday morning.

Jorge Wallace, 25, faces two charges of assault with a deadly weapon. According to KSDK, Wallace is wanted on similar charges in Georgia.

The incident began with a traffic stop in Maryland Heights, according to Fox 2 News. The pursuit ended near Olive and Bartmer in University City a little after midnight.

Authorities tell Fox2 it started after a Maryland Heights officer pulled over a car with one person in it for a traffic violation in the parking lot at the apartments at Bennington and Summerhouse.

As the officer was approaching the car, the suspect drove off. Maryland Heights Police say the suspect made a u-turn, rammed the officer's car with the officer in it then sped off.

The pursuit ended in U City when the suspect crashed into some parked cars at an auto repair shop. Wallace was caught a short time later hiding in the backyard of a home.

Bond was set at $75,000.

Typical entitlement society dummy, thinking he's entitled to do anything he wants at any time.

Nice stereotyping, Steph. You have some information not in the article about his dependence on government benefits or IQ?
