Patch Picks: Five Books for Kids and Adults

To celebrate National Read Across America Day, Patch asked library employees to pick some great books.

Each week, Patch selects a handful of themed items of interest to Maryland Heights residents. We call the ongoing feature Patch Picks. For this edition of the column, we deferred to Geri Olmstead, the manager of St. Louis County Library's Thornhill Branch to narrow down a list of ten great books to celebrate National Read Across America Day. Thanks to the help of Olmstead's library staff members, we present five selections for adults and five for kids to check out during the week of Read Across America Day, which falls on March 2 — Dr. Seuss's birthday.
