Marla Prather of the Museum of Modern Art in New York chose the art for the Ann Metzger exhibition.
An art world powerhouse picked the nearly 100 works of art on display as part of Clayton's Ann Metzger Memorial National All Media Exhibition. The exhibition—which draws on submissions from across the U.S. and includes paintings, photography and sculpture—kicked off Sunday at the St. Louis Artists' Guild in Oak Knoll Park. It is one of the largest shows the Artists' Guild mounts each year. Marla Prather juried the show. Artwork from three Pattonville High School students—Kaylyn Williams, Maximilian Schnake and Matt Zehner—was selected from hundreds of entries to be featured alongside the campaign. It's the first Missouri franchise for the Louisiana based firm, which now has locations in 16 states. The Creve Coeur studio opened Thursday night at 12623 Olive Boulevard. The premise: you bring your own drinks and snacks, spend a few hours with friends and an art instructor and leave with a painting. Franchise owners have 1600 designs to choose from when building their calendar, although private parties can select …
