Woman Lured Man to Hotel Room Where He Was Stabbed and Robbed, Police Say

When the man entered the room at the Northwest Airport Inn May 10, another man stabbed and robbed him, and he attacker and the woman split the money, , Bridgeton Police said.

A woman lured a man to her motel room in Bridgeton May 10 where another man lying in wait stabbed him in the chest and robbed him, police said. Bridgeton Police said Lindsay Dames, 19, arranged for the man to be robbed by David Smith, 47, who waited at the Northwest Airport Inn at 3570 North Lindbergh Blvd. in Bridgton, an extended stay motel. When Dames and the man entered her room, Smith attacked the man, stabbing him in the chest and lacerating his liver, according to a police report. They took cash and a cell phone from the man, according to a court document. Burglar Attacked Woman With Hammer Before Trying to Rape Her, Police Say

Police say Daniel W. Lee, of St. Louis, broke into a Bridgeton home and beat a woman with a hammer before attempting to rape her. Then, when police tried to arrest him, he attempted to grab an officer's gun from their holster.

A St. Louis man is accused of breaking into a Bridgeton home April 21, beating the resident with a hammer and attempting to rape her. Daniel W. Lee, 34, of the 6900 block of Natural Bridge Road, was charged Friday with attempted forcible rape, first-degree assault, second-degree assault, felonious restraint, first-degree burglary and stealing a car. Bridgeton Police said Lee broke into the home and struck the resident in the face and head with a hammer. He then removed the woman’s clothes and attempted to rape her, police said. The woman had facial and head injuries. Police said the man took some coins from the home and stole the woman’s 2007 Buick LaCrosse, police said. Man Intentionally Hit By Truck in Bridgeton

Daniel Wilmas was charged March 20 with second-degree assault and armed criminal action.

A North County man is accused of intentionally hitting a man with his truck on March 18 in the 3500 block of Welland Avenue in Bridgeton. Daniel Wilmas, 50, of the 12900 block of Eadstone Lane in North County, was charged March 20 with second-degree assault and armed criminal action. Bridgeton Police said Wilmas knew the victim, who suffered a closed head injury, cervical, thoracic and lumbar strains, and bruises on his right wrist and knee. Updated: Man Gets 10 Years For Manslaughter in DWI Crash

Patrick Walsh was sentenced Wednesday to 10 years in prison for the DWI crash that killed two people and injured five in September 2011. Walsh pleaded guilty Nov. 15 to two counts of involuntary manslaughter and five counts of second-degree assault. “Unlike Mr. Brueggen and Mr. McLemore, you will have an opportunity to reclaim your life. They won’t have that opportunity,” St. Louis County Circuit Court Judge Michael T. Jamison told Walsh before he handed down the sentence. Police estimated that Walsh was driving about 100 mph when his car rear-ended the Chevy Tahoe, which flipped several times. Drunk Driver Runs Red Light, Injures Another Motorist, Police Say

Bridgeton Police said Thomas Gasperoni ran a red light at Lindbergh and Missouri Bottom Road, causing the collision. He is being charged with assault.

A Florissant man faces assault charges after police said he ran a red light, crashing into another car and injuring the driver. Bridgeton Police said Thomas Gasperoni, 31, of the 600 block of Meadowgrass in Florissant, was driving while intoxicated. Gasperoni was charged March 5 by the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office with second-degree assault. Bridgeton Police said witnesses saw Gasperoni driving at a high rate of speed Nov. 27 when he ran a red light at Lindbergh Boulevard and Missouri Bottom Road, crashing into another car. Man Threatened Repeatedly to Kill Woman, Police Say

Bridgeton Police said Karl Edwards' threats caused the woman to fear for her life.

A man faces criminal charges for threatening a woman’s life with repeated phone calls and face-to-face threats. Karl Edwards, 32, of the 1000 block of Pennsylvania Avenue in University City, was charged Sunday with third-degree assault and harassment. Bridgeton Police said Edwards pointed a finger at the woman and threatened her at about 2:48 a.m. on Feb. 27 in the 12000 block of Chaparral Drive in Bridgeton, causing her to fear for her safety. At about 4 p.m. on March 2, police said Edwards began calling the woman repeatedly and threatened to kill her. Edwards is being held in the St. Louis County Justice Center. Sentencing Postponed in Double Manslaughter Case

Patrick Dawson Walsh pleaded guilty in November to charges relating to a 2011 crash that killed two people.

A sentencing hearing for Patrick Walsh, a Florissant man who pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter and assault charges was postponed Wednesday after family members and friends packed the courtroom for the hearing. Patrick D. Walsh, 21, of the 1800 block of Violet Drive in Florissant, pleaded guilty Nov. 15 to two counts of involuntary manslaughter and five counts of second-degree assault. The Missouri Highway Patrol reported Walsh was driving under the influence of alcohol and was going about 100 mph when he struck the rear of a Chevy Tahoe carrying six people. Walsh was 20 years old at the time. The Tahoe flipped several times, and Steve Brueggen, 38, and Michael R. McLemore, 37, were killed in the collision. Brueggen was a physical …

Second DWI Brings Felony Charge for Maryland Heights Man

Maryland Heights Police said they pulled the man over near his home and he registered a 0.161 percent blood-alcohol content.

A Maryland Heights man faces a criminal charge for his second time caught driving while intoxicated, police said. Khari Rufus, 39, of the 12200 block of Corrida Court in Maryland Heights, was charged Dec. 21 with DWI as a persistent offender, a class D felony. Maryland Heights Police said officers spotted Rufus driving and showing signs of intoxication on April 22, 2012 near his home, exactly six years after his first DWI incident. An officer pulled him over and Rufus did poorly on a sobriety test, and then tested at 0.161 percent on a breathalyzer, more than twice the legal limit. Rufus was charged with second-degree assault in Jennings for causing an accident April 22, 2006 while driving intoxicated. Two people were injured. He was …

Maryland Heights Teens Beat Up Juvenile Over $148

Antoine Turner, 18, was charged with stealing from a person and third-degree assault. Austin Phillips, 17, was charged Monday with stealing from a person. The incident occurred on the 1400 block of Glenlea Drive.

Two Maryland Heights men face charges after Maryland Heights Police said they assaulted and took a wallet and cash from a juvenile Saturday in the 1400 block of Glenlea Drive. Antoine Turner, 18, of the 1800 block of Woodhollow Drive in Maryland Heights, was charged Monday with stealing from a person and third-degree assault. Austin Phillips, 17, of the 12500 block of Wissant Lane in Maryland Heights was charged Monday with stealing from a person. Maryland Heights Police said Turner punched the juvenile multiple times in the face. Police said the young person’s face was bruised. The two men then took his wallet, which had $148. Police: Maryland Heights Man Drove Drunk, Caused Crash

The accused was driving while his license was suspended, according to Creve Coeur Police.

A man faces a criminal charge after police said he caused a collision on New Ballas Road Friday while driving drunk. Kenneth S. Klein, of the 1700 block of Schulte Hill Drive in Maryland Heights, was charged Saturday with second-degree assault, driving while intoxicated. Klein caused an accident at 828 New Ballas Road in Creve Coeur by colliding with a woman’s car, police said. The woman bruised her arm and hit her head in the crash. Creve Coeur Police said Klein appeared to be drunk and had watery eyes, slurred speech and smelled like alcohol.
