Nursing Home Worker Repeatedly Struck Resident, Police Say

Police said the worker assaulted the man in April 2011.

A former nursing home employee faces criminal charges after police said she struck a resident at the care center. Diann Baker, 56, was charged Friday in St. Louis County Circuit Court with elder abuse. St. Louis County Police said in a report that Baker repeatedly struck the resident at Rosewood Care Center, 11278 Schuetz Road in unincorporated St. Louis County on April 10, 2011. Man Charged with Shooting at Robbery Victim

Bridgeton Police said the suspect forced his way into a woman's apartment and robbed her at gunpoint moments earlier.

A man shot at his victim moments after breaking into her apartment and stealing items at gunpoint, according to a Bridgeton Police report. Neikos Walker, 22, of St. Louis, was charged Friday with first-degree assault, first-degree robbery, first-degree burglary and three counts of armed criminal action. Police said that Walker forced his way into the victim’s apartment in the 3300 block of Claxtonhall in Bridgeton, armed with a handgun. At gunpoint, he took cash, a PlayStation and a cell phone, and then fled to a waiting car, according to the report. The victim ran outside and around the apartment building. When the defendant saw her, he fired at least one shot at her, police said in the report. Bond was set at $100,000. Walker currently …

Man Indicted for Ramming Car Three Times on Dorsett

The accused is accused of assault and armed criminal action in the January incident.

A man was indicted by a grand jury Wednesday on second-degree assault, armed criminal action and first-degree property damage. Maryland Heights Police said in a report that Sean Stapley, 26, rammed his vehicle into another man’s car near the driver’s side door Jan. 24 on Dorsett Road near Interstate 270. When Stapley regained control of his car, he hit the victim’s car two more times, according to the report. The victim was treated at a hospital and released. The victim’s car, a 1996 Buick Regal, had $3,273 in damage.
