It's a 3-Way Race For Two Seats in Parkway BOE

Last-minute filing by Tuesday means it's a race on April 3.

The Board of Education race in Parkway School District got a third candidate Tuesday, the last day to file, providing a challenger to the two incumbents on the seven-member board. Kim Appelbaum joined the race against incumbents Beth Feldman and Helen Casteel. The Parkway board of education decides how to spend some $200 million a year in tax dollars on Chesterfield-based public schools, grades K - 12. District officials said the challenger is not related to Tom Appelbaum, a current Parkway Board of Education director. Kim Appelbaum is a Ballwin resident and Maritz IT Contract Manager, with two children in Parkway West Middle and High schools. Without a challenge to the two incumbents, the board may have opted to skip the election process…
