Maryland Heights Man in Serious Condition After Fatal Car Crash in Illinois

A 44-year-old man from Maryland Heights is in serious condition at SLU Hospital after he was involved in a car crash that claimed the lives of three family members near Waterloo, IL, Fox2 News reports. The accident happened Saturday night at around 11 p.m. The Maryland Heights man, identified as Stephen Wilkes, was air lifted to the hospital, the report said. The passenger in his car, Timothy Gaeng, 45, of Bridgeton, was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital and is also in serious condition. Neither of the two men's injuries were considered life threatening, Fox2 reported.
