Pediatric specialty hospital Ranken Jordan, located in Maryland Heights, is partnering with One19 North Tapas Wine Bar for a unique fundraiser Sunday and Monday.
Located in the heart of Maryland Heights, pediatric specialty hospital Ranken Jordan will partner with Kirkwood restaurant One19 North Tapas Wine Bar on Sunday and Monday to help children “get from the hospital back home.” For breakfast and lunch, patrons can dine at the restaurant these two days, and 10 percent of total sales will be donated to the hospital. “Actually One19 North got in touch with us at one of our recent golf tournaments and said they’d love to help out more in some way,” said Elaine Hickerson, Ranken Jordan Director of Development. “This is the first time we’ve ever partnered with them on an event like this.” Hickerson said there have not been many restaurant fundraiser events like this in the past unless the restaurant …

The Mexican restaurant chain closed shop in St. Louis on Feb. 23.
Mexican restaurant chain Casa Gallardo has closed for business in St. Louis. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported the parent company Real Mex Restaurants, Inc. closed the four area Casa restaurants in the St. Louis area. Among the four Casa resturants in St. Louis was one in Westport Plaza. KMOV-TV reports the company is offering "severance packages and outplacement support" to their former employees.
