Maryland Heights' Blockbuster to Stay Open After Latest Store Closing Sweep
Dish Network, which owns Blockbuster, is closing nine of St. Louis' 16 Blockbusters. The location in Maryland Heights, though, will remain open.

Dish Network Corp., which owns Blockbuster, plans to close nine stores in the St. Louis-area this spring. The Blockbuster in Maryland Heights, located at the Dorsett Road and McKelvey Road intersection will remain open. The closures are part of an announced plan to close 300 stores across the country. According to a story in the Denver Post, the closures include stores which were underperforming or were near the end of their leases.
