Man Punched, Choked Girlfriend Before Zip-Tying Her to Kitchen Chair, Police Say

Bryan A. Hale was charged with second- and third-degree domestic assault after St. Louis County Police said he punched his girlfriend in the face at their home just south of Maryland Heights.

A St. Louis County man is accused of attacking his girlfriend and zip-tying her to a kitchen chair. Bryan A. Hale, 39, of the 2000 block of King Arthur Court in St. Louis County, was charged April 11 with one count each of second-degree domestic assault and third-degree domestic assault. St. Louis County Police said Hale punched his girlfriend in the face at about 12:42 a.m. on Jan. 1 at their home just south of Maryland Heights. Police said they also responded to the home in September 2012 and that Hale used zip ties to bind her wrist to a kitchen chair. Police said when she freed herself, Hale punched her several times in the head, bit her, choked her and threw her against the kitchen wall and cabinets. Police said the woman was bruised …

Man Shatters Girlfriend's Car Window With Pocket Knife, Police Say

Christopher Earnest was charged with third-degree assault and second-degree property damage.

A man shattered a woman’s car window with a pocket knife as she sat inside the vehicle in Bridgeton, police said. Christopher Earnest, 30, was charged April 10 with third-degree domestic assault and second-degree property damage. His address was listed as the Extended Stay hotel in Hazelwood, 6065 North Lindbergh Blvd. Bridgeton Police said Earnest used a closed pocketknife to break the window on the 2002 Ford Taurus as it sat in a parking lot at 12450 St. Charles Rock Road in Bridgeton. Earnest and the woman have a child together. Earnest is being held in the St. Louis County Justice Center. Bail was set at $20,000. Man Pointed Loaded Gun at Toddler, Assaulted Wife, Police Say

Maryland Heights Police said Nichol Otz told his wife to tell police he wasn't coming out of his home alive, but police negotiated a peaceful surrender.

A Maryland Heights man is accused of assaulting his wife and pointing a loaded handgun at the couple’s 3-year-old child on March 26. Nicholas A. Otz, 33, of the 11900 block of Glenmar Drive in Maryland Heights, also told his wife to tell police he was not coming out alive. The woman and her daughter escaped the house and police surrounded the home and negotiated a peaceful surrender. Otz was charged March with second-degree domestic assault, unlawful use of a weapon and first-degree endangering a child. Woman Charged With Stabbing Husband

Bridgeton Police said the woman assaulted her husband Friday at their apartment in the 12100 block of Natural Bridge Road.

A Bridgeton woman is accused of stabbing her husband during the early morning of March 29 at their apartment. Tamara Camille Lewis, 43, of the 12100 block of Natural Bridge Road, was charged Friday with second-degree domestic assault and armed criminal action. Bridgeton Police said Lewis stabbed her husband with a knife, punched him and scratched his face. Bail was set at $50,000 for Lewis. Police said the woman required emergency surgery on her arm.

A man faces a criminal charge after police said he pushed his girlfriend down a flight of stairs. John Manley, 36, of the 2700 block of Mars Lane in Maryland Heights, was charged Wednesday with second-degree domestic assault. Maryland Heights Police said the woman broke her arm after being pushed and required emergency surgery. Manley was being held Monday in St. Louis County jail. Bail was set at $25,000. Man Slammed Girlfriend's Head on Counter, Police Say

The man pleaded guilty last January to assaulting another woman in 2010.

A Maryland Heights man slammed his girlfriend’s head on a kitchen counter and then prevented her from leaving to seek help, Glendale Police said. William Greggory Buffington, 47, of the 2300 block of Pheasant Run Drive in Maryland Heights, with third-degree domestic assault and false imprisonment. Glendale Police said Buffington injured his girlfriend April 27 in the 800 block of Queen Anne Place in Glendale, and then restrained her from leaving. Buffington pleaded guilty on Jan. 30 to assaulting a different woman in November 2010. Bail was set at $10,000, cash only. Man Beats, Robs, Keeps Girlfriend From Leaving Motel, Police Say

Robin Robinson was waiting for his girlfriend at a Bridgeton motel room when he punched the woman in the face several times, pulled the room phone off the wall and broke both of the woman's cell phones, police said.

A man faces criminal charges after police said he beat, choked, robbed and kept his girlfriend from leaving a Bridgeton motel room Wednesday. Robin Robinson, 41, of the 3100 block of California Avenue in South St. Louis, was charged with second-degree robbery, second-degree and third-degree domestic assault and felonius restraint. Bridgeton Police said that when his girlfriend arrived at the motel room about 9:40 p.m. Wednesday, Robinson was waiting for her and punched her in the face several times. He pulled the room phone off the wall and broke both of her cell phones, police said. Police Say Man Assaulted, Stabbed Girlfriend With Scissors

Bridgeton Police said the man also threatened to kill the woman.

A man punched and stabbed his live-in girlfriend July 9 at their apartment in the 3500 block of Pennridge, Bridgeton Police said in a report. Brandon Burton, 20, of the 1200 block of Glenmeade in Maryland Heights, was charged July 10 with two counts of second-degree domestic assault. Police said Burton hit the victim in the body, face and stomach, put his hands around her neck, threw her in a bathtub, stabbed her in the leg with scissors and threatened to kill her. The two were living together in Bridgeton at the time, according to the report. Court documents show Burton’s address in Maryland Heights.
