Maryland Heights Man Charged with Assaulting, Imprisoning Girlfriend

The woman told police he held her overnight against her will and threatened to kill her.

A man was charged April 23 in St. Louis County Circuit Court for assaulting his girlfriend and holding her overnight. Matthew Federhofer, 22, of the 12000 block of Washington Court in Maryland Heights, was charged with domestic assault and false imprisonment. According to a St. Louis County Police report, Federhofer punched and choked his girlfriend on Oct. 14 in the 9900 block of Meadow Avenue in Mehlville. He also forced her to stay overnight against her will, police said in the report. The woman told police he threatened to kill her. Bond was set at $15,000.

I'll tell you why. It's because cops spend way more time writting tickets and running down traffic violations than they do preventing and solving REAL crime. I'm not knocking Maryland Heights, they do a good job, but still they too are more focused on traffic than anything else, and I disagree with that.   more ›
