Repairs to the I-70 bridge over Earth City Expressway and Route 141 will impact traffic on three nights.
The Missouri Department of Transportation will shut down portions of Interstate 70 during the next week in Maryland Heights. According to MoDot, repairs to the I-70 bridge over Earth City Expressway and Route 141 will impact traffic on three nights. Each night, different ramps to and from Earth City Expressway/Route 141 and I-70 will be closed. The closures are as follows: Each closure will begin at 8 p.m. and will reopen by 5 a.m., MoDot says. Car occupants told Bridgeton Police that another driver flashed a handgun at them July 6 as they drove westbound Interstate 70 near Natural Bridge Road. Theotis Thomas, 35, of the 6800 block of Friarwood in Berkely, was charged with unlawful use of a weapon. Bond was set at $7,500. The traffic collision, which left seven people injured, happened on July 3.
Two local residents were injured in an I-70 car accident on July 3. The Missouri State Highway Patrol indicated on its website that an 18 year old Maryland Heights resident changed lanes and hit another vehicle. A 12 year old, also from Maryland Heights, was a passenger in the car. They received minor injuries in the accident. Five Wentzville residents were in the other vehicle. All received minor injuries except a 10 year old. The Highway Patrol indicated she received moderate injuries.

Several ramps on Interstate 55 will be closed downtown this weekend as part of the Mardi Gras activities in the city.
The Mardi Gras Effect Ramps from northbound I-55 to 3200 Broadway and 7th and Park and the ramp from southbound I-55 to 7th will be closed from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. In addition the ramps from northbound and southbound I-55 to Arsenal will be closed from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the event. The ramp from eastbound I-70 to Broadway will be closed from 6 to 10 p.m. Tuesday for the Mardi Gras Fat Tuesday parade. Other Closures The ramp from eastbound I-64 to 6th Street will close at 9:30 a.m. Friday to continue making bridge repairs. The ramp will reopen by 5 a.m. Monday.
