Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission awards contract for Phase 3 of Route 364 project. Ultimately the highway will connect Maryland Heights at Interstate 270 to Interstate 64 in Lake Saint Louis.
The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission on Wednesday awarded a contract to complete construction on the Highway 364 Page Avenue Extension project. The $118.2 million project was awarded to Page Constructors LLC, a team comprising Fred Weber Inc., Millstone Bangert Inc., and Kolb Grading. It's expected to be completed by Oct. 31, 2014. Phase 3 of the Page Extension will add nine miles of highway between Mid Rivers Mall Drive in St. Peters and the Route N and Interstate 64 interchange in Lake Saint Louis. The road will be a four-lane freeway with an open, grassy median, similar to Route 141 or Highway 70 past Warrenton, said Project Director for Route 364 Phase 3 Mike Castro. One lane of eastbound Interstate 70 will be shut down to allow MoDOT crews to repair potholes and other minor issues.
MoDOT made the announcement this week. One of the awards pertains to the Route 141 expansion project in West St. Louis County.
The Missouri Department of Transportation in St. Louis announced it recently received two awards for recycling. One of the awards is for the Route 141 expansion project that runs through Town and Country, Chesterfield, Creve Coeur and Maryland Heights. More details on how the department recycled during that road project are included in the following news release provided by MoDOT. The Missouri Department of Transportation in St. Louis has won two Missouri State Recycling Program awards. The projects cost nearly $211 million and will include road and lane closures around the St. Louis area that begin next week.
The Missouri Department of Transportaion has a busy year planned for road construction in the St. Louis-area. On Tuesday, MoDOT officials unveiled detailed plans for five major projects around the St. Louis area in 2013 that total nearly $211 million. "So it's a significant amount of money we're about to spend on roads around the state, around the region," explained Ed Hassinger, MoDOT District Engineer for the St. Louis region. Interstate 70 Blanchette Bridge - $63 Million Hassinger said I-70 is down from five lanes in each direction to three lanes in each direction while crews work to build a new bridge over the Missouri River.
