Readers Fine With Pattonville's Mandatory ID Initiative

Students already have to carry an ID badge with them at all times. Now, they'll have to wear them around their neck. What do you think?

On Monday, Maryland Heights Patch reported that effective in January, students and staff at Pattonville High School will have to wear ID badges. Students already have to carry an ID badge with them at all times. Now, they'll have to wear them around their neck. The change was announced to students last week and to parents in a letter, and came after Pattonville High School Principal Joe Dobrinic said a 17 year-old former student was recently arrested at the school. In the letter, Dobrinic said the former student entered the building and claimed to be re-enrolling in class.
