Maryland Heights Bank Robbed by Woman Who Said She Had a Gun

U.S. Bank inside Schnuck's grocery store was robbed Monday afternoon.

A woman implying she had a gun robbed a Maryland Heights bank Monday. The woman—described by police as black, 5-foot-5 and weighing about 150 pounds while wearing a plaid cadet-style hat, a black coat, black purse and jeans—approached the teller of a U.S. Bank location inside Schnuck's grocery store and presented a demand note. Police say the woman implied she had a gun but never showed it. She left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money. Schnuck's is located near the Dorsett Road and McKelvey Road intersection.  The robbery was first reported by KMOV.

Dierberg's, Schnuck's Respond to Cantaloupe Salmonella Warning Issued in Missouri

Consumers are advised to throw out any cantaloupe grown in southwest Indiana. A specific farm and stores have not been released.

The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services issued a warning this week reporting that Missouri has 12 confirmed cases of Salmonella Typhimurium, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.  Cantaloupe grown in southwestern Indiana is the focus of the outbreak and consumers are advised to throw out cantaloupe from that area. It should be identified by a sticker on the cantaloupe. A specific farm or stores carrying the product have not been named. UPDATE: A spokesperson for Dierbergs that their stores are not involved in the cantaloupe recall.  Dierbergs receives their cantaloupes from California growers, the spokesperson stated in an email.
