Moving Toward Health: Pattonville's Food Program Sets 2012 Goals

Pattonville School Board heard a presentation on the district's food service at Tuesday night's meeting.

Pattonville School District’s food service program hopes to work with first lady Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move program throughout 2012. Pattonville’s Director of Food and Nutrition Services Teree Davis presented the program’s 2012 goals to the board of education on Tuesday night. She listed several goals the food service program will strive toward in the new year. Currently, Rockwood School District is the only district in the St. Louis metro area to be certified by the HealthierUS School Challenge, the challenge's website indicated. Davis told the board Pattonville’s lunch prices are among the lowest in the area at $2.10 in elementary and secondary schools.
