Fox 2 Video: Northwest Plaza Demolition to Begin

More than $40 million in tax credits and TIF money is being used to revitalize the vacant eye sore, Fox 2 News reports.

Fire Guts Home, Family Put Out in the Cold

A St. Ann family was out in the cold early Tuesday morning as firefighters battled a blaze at their home near Maryland Heights.

Fire damaged a home early Tuesday morning in St. Ann, MO, around 1:45 a.m. when the people who lived in a home on Long Drive and Dundee Place called 911 for the smell of smoke, Fox 2 News reports. The home was located just a few miles from Maryland Heights.  The family was forced outside during the fire, where temperatures were in the mid-teens. No one was reported injured in the blaze.

Local Schnucks Shows St. Ann Woman the Jackpot

Kin Lo bought a winning lottery ticket from the Maryland Heights-based Schnucks.

Schnucks in Maryland Heights brought some luck to a St. Ann resident on April 11. Kin Lo, 54, bought a Missouri Lottery ticket at the local store and won $92,000 from the Show Me Cash jackpot. A press release indicated Lo’s winning numbers were 8, 9, 15, 20 and 31.

School District Searches for College-Enrolled Graduates

Pattonville School District hopes to find college students who graduated from their high school for a middle school college fair.

Pattonville School District hopes those who graduated from its schools will come out in droves for a college fair with an interesting twist. Instead of targeting older students who will receive diplomas in a few months time, the fair is geared to eighth grade students. Pattonville wants recent graduates who continued their education to volunteer as "college reps," according to a press release from the school district. The only criteria are that you graduated from Pattonville and are still enrolled in higher education. Organizers will hold the event at Holman Middle School in St. Ann, according to the press release. Maryland Heights is one of several cities that feed children into the Pattonville School System.
