Maryland Heights Bank Robbed by Woman Who Said She Had a Gun

U.S. Bank inside Schnuck's grocery store was robbed Monday afternoon.

A woman implying she had a gun robbed a Maryland Heights bank Monday. The woman—described by police as black, 5-foot-5 and weighing about 150 pounds while wearing a plaid cadet-style hat, a black coat, black purse and jeans—approached the teller of a U.S. Bank location inside Schnuck's grocery store and presented a demand note. Police say the woman implied she had a gun but never showed it. She left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money. Schnuck's is located near the Dorsett Road and McKelvey Road intersection.  The robbery was first reported by KMOV.
