All you have to do is bring a book or movie that you enjoyed—or hated—that you can use as an icebreaker.
To celebrate Valentine's Day—and potentially snag book-lovers a date—the Thornhill Branch of the St. Louis County Public Library District is hosting its second annual literary speed dating event. The event is free at the Maryland Heights library, but registration is required. Speed dating will begin at 7 p.m. and end at 8:30 p.m. All you have to do is bring a book or movie that you enjoyed—or hated—that you can use as an icebreaker. Participants will then have five to seven minutes to chat with another person before moving on to the next participatn. Participants will meet potential friends and dates anonymously. Library officials say the event is aimed at adults in their 20s, 30s, and 40s but all are welcome to attend. Space is limited …

Foursquare, the popular social media check-in site, ranked the most romantic and least romantic cities in the U.S.
St. Louis is the fourth most romantic city in the U.S., according to Foursquare, the popular social media site. Foursquare works by letting users "check in," or upload their location, so others can see where they are. Based on 1.5 billion check-ins—especialy to romantic places like wine bars and flower shops—Foursquare named 10 cities to be the most romantic, and St. Louis is one of them!
