Waffle House On Its Way to Maryland Heights

Waffle House Looking to Build New Location in Maryland Heights

Now, the closest Waffle House locatin is in Bridgeton near the St. Charles Rock Road and I-270 intersection. Another location sits in St. Charles and St. John.

Waffle House, the breakfast restaurant known best for its yellow sign, is looking to build a new location in Maryland Heights, according to city documents. According to the Maryland Heights city planner's report, Waffle House is looking to build a new 1,600 square-foot restaurant on Old Dorsett Road, just east of Interstate 270.  Now, the closest Waffle House locatin is in Bridgeton near the St. Charles Rock Road and I-270 intersection. Another location sits in St. Charles and St. John. The restaurant's building permit application is now under review by city officials.   What do you think? Maryland Heights City Council Hears Objection to Removing an Item from the Agneda

The Maryland Heights City Council considered several pieces of legislation May 19.

The Maryland Heights City Council meeting kicked off to a heated exchange over the removal of an agenda item Thursday night — one that dealt with waffles. City Attorney Howard Paperner requested item 12, an ordinance repealing a planned district ordinance, amending ordinances and enacting a new ordinance in lieu of thereof to modify the permitted uses,  be postponed for further review until next council meeting. The legislation would modify the allowed uses for 3.5 acres of land on the north side of Dorsett Road, east of I-270 according to the agenda obtained at the council meeting. Paperner said WH Capital, LLC — the corporate owners of Waffle House restaurants and a land owner the ordinance would affect— does not consent to the proposed …
