Casino Revenues Continue to Drop, Led by Hollywood in Maryland Heights
Hollywood Casino saw a 18 percent revenue decrease in April when compared to April 2012. None of the St. Louis-area casinos reported revenue gains year-over-year.
No other casino in the St. Louis-market saw a bigger year-over-year revenue dip than Hollywood Casino, the St. Louis Business Journal reports. Hollywood, which is located in Maryland Heights, reported revenue of $19.7 million in April 2013. That's down 18 percent from April 2012, when the casino—then Harrah's Casino—the report said. The revenue dip is part of a trend for Hollywood over the past several months. In March, revenue compared to the same month in 2012, was down nearly 10 percent. February and January figures were also down by a significant amount.
