Woman Stole Her Aunt's Identity, Got $2,400 in Cash Advances

Maryland Heights Police said the transactions were caught on surveillance video.

A 21-year-old woman was charged with stealing her aunt’s identity to get $2,400 in cash advances, Maryland Heights Police said. Alexis A. Conley, of the 2900 block of Delmar Boulevard, was charged Oct. 25 with identity theft. Maryland Heights Police said Conley was staying with her aunt and had access to her credit card and social security number. Police said that, in a transaction caught on surveillance video, Conley used her aunt’s social security number to set up a PIN and took cash advances on the credit card. Conley then took out $2,400 in cash advances between June 25 and July 30 at 2107 Schuetz Road in Maryland Heights. Conley told police she used the money to buy heroin, according to the police report. Bail was set at $5,000.
