Maryland Heights City Council to Consider New Trash Container Laws
The Maryland Heights City Council is considering amending the ordinance to allow waste containers to be stored in front of residences, as long as they are within four feet of the house.
The Maryland Heights City Council will hold a public hearing at 6:45 p.m. on Feb. 7 at the Maryland Heights Government Center to get resident input on proposed new rules related to the storage of residential waste containers. Now, regulations require that when they are not at the curb for collection, containers must be stored behind the front of the home in a location that minimizes visual exposure to the street—generally, this means keeping them in a garage or carport, alongside the home or in the back yard.
