My daughter is wearing a Minnie Mouse costume if it fits. I ordered it from Costume Express so we will see. Either that or a bumblebee costume. I couldn't help but buy it even though I had the other! They are all so cute it's hard to choose just one.

As a journalist, I think it was good to not convict her without reasonable doubt. As a Mother, I know she did it (or at the very LEAST had something to do with it.) I agree with Candace in that no real mother would have acted the way she did the days after her daughter's death. The media still wouldn't be able to interview me because they would first have to find me locked away in a nuthouse somewhere and if they did find me, there is no way I would be able to hold a coherant conversation ever again.

Don't beat yourself up too hard Jen. It is tough being a single parent and most everything in this life is built with contradictions so it is possible to love your kids and resent them sometimes I guess. It's ok to need some "alone time" every now and then. It's ok to wonder how things may have been- But it's a waste of time that alot of us can't stop doing. As for what you said to your boy, I'm sure he won't be scarred for life. All of our parents have had their moments. Just like their parents' parents did. My advice is to use the rest of the time the boys are gone to think about what you are missing from your life and what you can do to improve on that, and stop self-destructing or you may end up in a worse situation. I'm not saying you need to revamp your life but it would be beneficial to break down goals and desires into managable tasks. Even baby steps are steps-as you know from being a great mother to those sweet boys.

I like the look of the plate as opposed to the pyramid but I agree about not knowing how much of each group you're suppose to have. I probably won't be using the guide to teach my daughter though because I think it will be easier to explain with words and just explain that she needs fruits, veggies, dairy, meat, and bread to keep healthy. We may be overanalyzing this plate too since M. Obama stated "If the filled plate looks like the symbol, with lots of fruits and vegetables," she said, “then we’re good, it’s as simple as that."
